Make a Lasting Difference
Leaving a gift to EAC is a great way to continue your support
and protection for the priceless natural resources of West Marin.
Through a gift you can also memorialize a friend or family member. And
your gift will ensure that EAC can continue working for West Marin on
into the future.
There are many ways to leave a gift to EAC. You can
- Leave a specific dollar amount or a percentage of appreciated assets
in your will or living trust. Suggested wording
for bequests.
- Honor friends and remember loved ones with a memorial gift. (Just
make sure to specify in your will whom you are honoring.)
- Name EAC as the beneficiary or remainder beneficiary of your pension
plan, IRA, or life insurance.
Before you make a gift:
Talk to a professional. Contact your attorney, accountant, insurance
agent, or financial planner to ensure you are maximizing the tax and
legal advantages that giving allows. Or, if you like, EAC can put you
in touch with an estate planning professional. Call EAC at 415-663-9312
or email us at EAC@svn.net.
Should you decide to make EAC a beneficiary of your will or living
trust, it would be helpful for us to know of your intentions. If you
would like, you could provide EAC a copy of the relevant portion of
your will or living trust so that we could ensure that your wishes are
carried out at the appropriate time. This information will, of course,
be kept strictly confidential.
Bequests
EAC recommends the following language for use in wills and living trusts,
with four examples of bequest types.
