Thank you for attending our Winter Gathering on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Maroni State Historic Park & Conference Center’s Buck Hall. Over a 100 attendees joined us to celebrate the past year in a beautiful setting.
Attendees heard from keynote Dan Howard, Superintendent of Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary (NMS), who took us on a visual journey into the depths of Cordell Bank. Since 2015, the team at Cordell Bank NMS have explored Cordell Bank and Bodega Canyon with the Nautilus to visually survey deep-water habitat that has never been explored to characterize habitat, species, and communities. Dan shared insights and images from the expeditions with the group.
A big thanks to our inkind sponsors for their generosity, and our supporters for their donations throughout the year.

2018 Winter Gathering
Thank you to everyone who came out to mingle with us this winter at Marconi State Historic Park! We had nearly 100 attendees join us for this truly amazing day along Tomales Bay. The day started with birding walks for our donors with board member David Wimpfheimer and Audubon Canyon bird ecologist, David Lumpkin, followed by an afternoon of spirits and food at Marconi's Buck Hall. Local historian and author Dewey Livingston provided a special presentation on the history of Marin, and EAC's Executive Director Morgan Patton provided a keynote speech and recap on our successes this year. Desi & The Mish, a two-man band, provided us with festive tunes while we enjoyed bird watching from the lawn. Special guests included Marin Supervisor Dennis Rodoni, Point Reyes National Seashore Superintendent Cicely Muldoon, and Rebels with a Cause notables like Marty Griffin, Amy Meyer, and Nona Dennis. Please come mingle with us next December.
