The Coastal Commission (Commission) provided a public notice that the January 14th hearing to review the federal consistency of the Point Reyes National Seashore’s General Management Plan Amendment (GMPA) has been postponed.
WHAT THIS MEANS
The Commission will consider the federal consistency at a future meeting. That hearing date has not been set yet. Once EAC is aware of the new hearing date, we will alert our membership.
SHOULD YOU STILL COMMENT?
Yes. Please continue to send in comments to the Commission with your concerns with the GMPA . You can email the commission directly at PointReyesManagementPlan@coastal.ca.gov with your concerns.
EAC’S ACTION ALERT
We have deactivated our action alert for the time-being. One of our primary asks in that alert was for the Commission to be afforded the time that they originally requested from the National Park Service. That request has been granted!
