Educational Exhibit: Bird Migration, Conservation, and Habitat

This educational pop-up display, inspired by our Annual Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival, debuted on April 21st, 2022. This exhibit features information about the Pacific Flyway and the migratory and resident birds of Coastal Marin. Coastal Marin County is fortunate to have more than 54% of North American avian species frequenting our lands and waters as residents or as spring/fall migrants. This educational display provides information about the Pacific Flyway, migratory and resident birds, conservation challenges, and what you can do to help protect birds in your backyard. The original exhibit featured photographs by Carlos Porrata. However, these are not available for loan. Carlos could be contacted directly for this portion of the exhibit. The original exhibit highlighted the work of our Festival partner, Amigos Alados, an international environmental education and friendship project offering instruction on endemic and migratory bird life for elementary students in the Western USA and Mexico. Amigos Alados could be contacted directly to include this portion of the exhibit.

This exhibit is available to borrow.
