Inverness Fair + Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
A Big Success For EAC

The 2023 Inverness Fair held on the second Saturday of August by the Inverness Association was filled with fun, laughter, and lots of community joy. The event celebrates our local nonprofits, foundations, public works, and community and how they support West Marin. The event included a number of local musicians, a puppy parade, a cake raffle, and a passport program where the attendees collected stamps from each booth to learn more about each of our worthy causes.

The event kicked off with the pancake breakfast hosted by our newest team member Madeline Nieto Hope, volunteer Loretta Farley, and numerous other volunteers. The breakfast raised over $1,400 for our work managing a new stewardship action program called the California Cleaner Coast Initiative in partnership with Leave No Trace across Marin, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties. A big thank you to the breakfast sponsors including The Lions Club, The Palace Market, local fire departments, and Loretta Farley and Gus Conde, and numerous volunteers.

Our booth engaged over 100 attendees and welcomed two new member households to our fold while raising critical funds through our retail sales and donation jar. Many thanks go out to our Board Directors Jerry Meral and Mairi Pileggi, volunteer Dom Richard and Coastal Advocates Ben Hodgson, Cate Olrich, and Jessie Kamman for helping facilitate the event. And lastly, a huge thanks to the Inverness Association and Alex Porrata for this beloved community event.

Join us next August for this beloved community tradition organized by the Inverness Association. Learn more about the roots of the fair.
